I have a first degree and MA (Magister) in anthropology from Heidelberg University (Germany). At present, I work at the Department of Cultural Studies (bik) of the University of Bremen where I teach research methods and Internet culture and carry out doctoral research into e-government and ethnicity in Bremen. I also work as a consultant to the German foundation Digitale-Chancen on the issue of immigration and the 'digital divide'. In 2002 I worked for Context Research (USA) on an ethnographic study of mobile phone users in Heidelberg. |
